The Clinton County Health Department is dedicated to the purpose of communicable disease prevention and health promotion for residents of all ages of Clinton County and protecting the environment in which they live on a daily basis.  The department maintains programs of regulatory enforcement and provides health services devoted to the promotion of a healthy environment in Clinton County including Vital Records, Environmental Health and Public Health Nursing.

FULL TIME, PROFESSIONAL POSITION AVAILABLE

(State Code mandated position-Public Health Nurse)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Clinton County Health Department has an opening for a full time Public Health Nurse. Responsibilities include: Adult and Childhood Immunizations, Communicable Disease reporting and investigations, Tuberculosis case management, client elevated lead testing, STD screening clinic, and Community Outreach. The position requires an Accredited Nursing Degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree (BSN) and several years of experience in public health or related area preferred. Individual must possess both a current Indiana Nursing License and an Indiana Driver’s License.

This is a county-funded, full time, professional position offering the right candidate full employee benefits, a 32 hour work week, schedule flexibility, and a chance to be an essential part of our Public Health TEAM serving Clinton County. Position will require the incumbent to have own transportation, occasionally have overnight stays out of county, and occasionally work an altered/extended schedule to complete projects or during a public health emergency.
